Our Construction Work

Hope CDA uses the building and refurbishing of houses as on-the-job training for participants. Typically, we purchase a deteriorated house, refurbish it, and then sell it to a low-to-moderate income family. By doing this, we are increasing the percentage of owner-occupied houses in Cedar Rapids’ older neighborhoods, which makes those neighborhoods better.
