This is a very short lesson this week for one reason – you have learned a lot about prayer already. It is time for you to put all those ideas into practice and this is what we are going to do starting this week.
Time to Teach!
For those of you who have been at Hope CDA for some time, you have learned a great deal about prayer and its purpose. However, you are going to have men in your classes who are new to the program, maybe even new to the faith. It is time for you to start teaching them about prayer.
Honestly, the best way to teach this is by demonstrating it yourself. Live a life of prayer. Pray with them. Start your day at work, at the house, at the shop, or before you go to meetings by praying.
In addition, teach these men what you have learned about prayer. The Bible commands us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Start right here with those who are new to the program. Teach them how to pray.
Time to Learn!
For those of you who do not know much about prayer, it is time for you to learn. Embrace the opportunity to learn more about communicating with God. You should want to know what prayer is, how you should pray, when to pray, and what to pray for. The men in this program can teach you that. Open your heart to want to learn.
Time to Pray!
All of you set goals last week as to what you wanted to see happen in your life in 2025. All the people in this group heard some of those prayers last week. They know what you want for your life, and you know what they want for theirs. It is time to start praying for these things for each other.
All of you have hardships as well. You all have challenges. Many of these can seem overwhelming. There may be strongholds standing in the way of your goals, or your self-talk may be holding you back. It is time to pray against those things and it is time for others to join you in those prayers.
You Have Victory!
God wants to give you victory. He wants victory for your brothers as well, so it is time to pray for others. Moving forward, we will be more focused on prayer in each of these sessions. God wants you to win. Christ can give you victory in all circumstances. So, let’s pray for God to do great things in the lives of your brothers.
