Coaches

Each participant has a Coach, a mentor, who assists our men during the year in the program. The Coach is an integral part of the success for each man in the program, serving as a guide and mentor, while also providing good biblical counsel and friendship.

Hope Friends

The Hope Friends are women who want to serve as a mentor and coach, providing a woman’s point of view. The Friends Team helps our men to learn how to build healthy relationships with women, serving as a mom, friend, and sister in Christ.

Meal & Snack Providers

Volunteers/Groups provide meals for events, such as the “Tuesday Night of Encouragement’ Volunteers and snacks for Friday morning classes. Those providing a meal on Tuesday night serve a meal and sides for about 40+ people. The Friday snacks are to provide a breakfast for our men during their classes.

Class Facilitators

Volunteer facilitators lead Bible studies, life skills and nutrition classes, and teach work related skills. Lessons are written by Dr. Robert Pannier and facilitators guide the men through the lesson, providing an atmosphere where participants can share their thoughts while learning to grow closer to God.

Transportation Team

Drivers help participants to get to appointments and job sites, and assist with bringing materials to job sites. The Transportation Team works in shifts, serving to help our men to take care of appointments.

Sub-Contractors

Plumbers, electricians,  HVAC technicians and others help reduce costs by volunteering their services. Hope CDA frequently needs men and women with special skills to provide their expertise in these areas.

Website/Social Media/IT

Tech savvy people assist with social media and IT related needs. Volunteers would work on the websites, add content to social media accounts, and provide IT assistance if needed.

Marketing Team

Volunteers help promote the Hope CDA program and its enterprises. Hope CDA does not want to be “The Best Kept Secret in Town,” and needs men and women who have the skills and expertise to help promote the ministry.

Guest Speakers

Speakers provide encouraging  and informative messages on Tuesday nights and during special events. These speakers provide encouraging and educational lessons and talks to help our men grow in their faith and their life skills.

Office Support

Volunteers assist with day-to-day operations of Hope CDA. The Office Support team helps with mailings, phone calls, filing, and other administrative work.

Prayer Team

Volunteers assist Hope CDA in its mission by praying for other team members. This team prays to encourage our men and defeat the schemes of Satan, taking requests before God, while also continuously praying for the ministry and its needs.

Employment Team

Volunteers assist our men in the next stage of life by helping them to find a job prior to graduation.  Our Employment Team works with Iowa Works to help our men to build a resume, learn interview techniques, fill out applications, develop an employment strategy, and learn skills to be successful at their job.

Nutrition & Health Team

The Nutrition & Health Team works with our men to improve their health through eating better and building healthy habits of living. Volunteers assist with cooking and health classes, and provide lessons and materials to assist the men in meeting healthy goals for living.

Skills Team

The Skills Team helps our men with issues related to computers, English, and math. Many of our men need to improve their skills to finish their Hi-Set degree, to fill out applications, or to join a union. We need men and women who can assist and tutor our men to help them improve their skills.
